Frequently Asked Questions
Getting connected to the right therapist for you can feel intimidating. Here are some important pieces of information about our approach to the therapeutic process and what you can expect in sessions.
Questions
What is a typical therapy session like?
Sessions can vary based on each day, just like life! We follow your lead based on what you wish to discuss. We will usually meet for 50 minutes, during which we may focus on one topic or jump into a few topics.
How much does a session cost and do you accept insurance?
Each session is $150. Currently, we do not accept insurance, which allows us to focus on your goals rather than diagnoses, which required by insurance companies. Many insurance companies will accept superbills for out-of-network providers. If you are interested in receiving a superbill, let us know! If you are concerned about cost or are experiencing financial struggles, please inquire about sliding scale options.
What is your specialty?
We work with adults, and have a special knack for working with caregivers, such as adult children of aging adults and professionals, to navigate burnout and changes in relationships, health conditions, and more.
What is your cancellation and no-show policy?
Cancelling a session less than 24 hours in advance will result in a charge of the session fee. No-shows will also result in a charge of the session fee. See our policy in our Terms and Conditions page.
