Refund Policy
Payment, Cancellation, and Refund Policy
Effective Date: March 16, 2026
At Pyxis Counseling, LLC, therapy sessions are scheduled and reserved specifically for each client. The following policy helps ensure that time is respected for both clients and the practice.
Payment for Services
Payment for services is due at the time of the session unless other arrangements have been made in advance. Accepted forms of payment may include credit card, debit card, or other electronic payment methods.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. This allows the appointment time to be offered to another client.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments (“no-shows”), may be subject to the full session fee.
Refunds
Because therapy services involve time reserved specifically for each client, refunds are generally not provided for completed sessions or late cancellations.
If a billing error occurs, or if you believe you were charged incorrectly, please contact Pyxis Counseling, LLC and we will review the matter and correct any errors as appropriate.
Insurance
If you are using insurance benefits, you are responsible for understanding your coverage, including copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. Any balance not covered by insurance or denied by insurance remains the responsibility of the client.
Good Faith Estimate Notice and Questions
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of services.
Clients who are not using insurance (or who choose not to use their insurance benefits) may request a written estimate of the expected charges for services prior to scheduling or at any time during treatment.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.
For questions or to request a Good Faith Estimate, please contact Pyxis Counseling, LLC.
